Club Chaplain appointed
Mersey Rose Recreationals Cricket Club is please to announced the appointment of its first-ever club chaplain, marking a significant and progressive step for the grassroots game. The role has been taken up by Gail Rose, an LGBTQ+ rights advocate and a lay preacher within the United Reformed Church. Gail joined the club midway through the 2025 season, with her first matches coming at the Pride in Cricket pro-disability festival — a fitting introduction that reflected both her

As we come to the close of another year, we want to take a moment to wish everyone connected to our club a very happy Christmas and a hopeful, healthy New Year. This time of year invites reflection, and above all, gratitude. We are incredibly thankful for every player, volunteer, coach, supporter, official, ally, and friend who has given their time, energy, and heart to the club over the past year. Your commitment — on and off the field — is what makes this club what it is. I


AGM round-up
An update from the 2025 Annual General Meeting Mersey Rose Recreationals' 2025 AGM was held on Monday 24th November 2024. The chair, Joe Crossley, welcomed members and gave a brief report on his own involvement during the season, which regrettably didn't involve as much playing time as he would have liked due to illness. He thanked players and committee members for their efforts in 2025 and, in particular, highlighted the club's participation in the Out4Cricket tournament. T
