Club Chaplain appointed

Mersey Rose Recreationals Cricket Club is please to announced the appointment of its first-ever club chaplain, marking a significant and progressive step for the grassroots game. The role has been taken up by Gail Rose, an LGBTQ+ rights advocate and a lay preacher within the United Reformed Church. Signs of progress despite results The hardball team's most recent matches were away at Ormskirk Occasionals and Nantclwyd. Mersey Rose represents the North West at Out4Cricket Tournament

Mersey Rose's softball team took part in the 2026 Out4Cricket tournament, which was held at Sutton Coldfield Cricket Club on Sunday 14th June. This was the largest Out4Cricket tournament so far. In the softball section, four teams were competing: Mersey Rose (Lancashire), Western Force, Birmingham Unicorns (Warwickshire) and Norfolk. It was Norfolk's first time at the event.
